Help Your Thoughts Grow To Create A Resilient Mind
What you think upon grows and this can promote a resilient mind. This stress management tool and Eastern truism sums up the greatest and most fundamental of all the Laws of Mind. Whatever you allow to occupy your mind, you magnify in your life to help your thoughts grow. Whether the subject of your thoughts be good or bad, the law works and the condition grows. Resilient Mind: Facts
Philosophers through the ages have said that ‘thoughts are things’ and ‘as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.’ We are the master weavers of our circumstances and our thoughts can set us up a life of ignorance and pain or enlightenment and happiness. Thinking about the negative side of life will not help your thoughts grow but it will get you more negative. Concentrating on the positive will help your thoughts grow and get you more positive.
But it is not just as simple as thinking positively to attract what you want or to build a resilient mind. It is also about tapping into the emotions of life and monitoring them to see how satisfied you are with what is happening in your life. Simply dreaming about having more money isn’t going to necessarily bring more money into your life. But behind the wish for money may be the desire for more happiness. Thinking and focusing on all the ways we can be happier in our life and taking steps to bring in and allow more good stuff to happen, may bring in more opportunities for happiness.
Focusing On Restored Health vs Focusing On Healthy Choices
Focusing on restored health isn’t necessarily going to make all illnesses go away. But focusing on health and making healthy choices may allow for healing and health to occur.
Certainly the opposite is also true. Focusing on pain, will reinforce the strength of that pain. You will notice more the impact of that pain. Focus on the unfairness of that pain. See that others may not be in as much pain. Your attitude and motivation may sink as you feel helpless to get rid of the pain and then you will let that pain engulf everything about the world that you are in.
Resilient Mind: Choose Happiness
In spite of illness and in spite of difficult life circumstances, we all know someone who seems to not let those things take over the rest of their world. It is not that they are blind to the impact that these things are having on their life, but they are choosing not to let these things be their entire life. Choose to see happiness and miracles around them. Appreciate the love and kindness they are offered. They are eager to share that love and kindness with others.
I had the privilege of listening to Eddie Lemoine speak and one of the points that he made was that ‘our reality today is based on our thoughts from yesterday’.
The more that we focus on the things we are not happy with, the more we will attract the same things to be unhappy about. Click to tweet
Watch for limiting beliefs about yourself and the world that prevent you from achieving your desires today. I am so guilty of this. I have a hard time allowing success into my life, as my little voice insides says that I don’t deserve it.
The more that we focus on things to be happy about, the more evidence we find that there are things to be happy about.
Belief creates reality. Become your ideal person, as if you have what you are desiring. How would a happy person act? Would a loving wife respond? What way would a caring mom see her children? Or what would a great speaker do?
Beverly’s Tips For Building A Resilient Mind By Focusing On What You Think Grows:
- Goal setting is a great tool. Eddie Lemoine promotes using a dream sheet. I like that he attaches emotion to these dreams to make them even more compelling. It is not just about doing them, but about how achieving them will make them feel. Set up a dream sheet. What would be on your bucket list for work, your relationships, your health, your personal life? Describe them in detail. Our mind would look for ways to make these a reality for us.
- Monitor you emotions. If you are anxious, what are you anxious about? Why is there anxiety in this situation and what does it say about your desires? What do you want to attract to you or grow to fulfill these desires and get rid of those anxieties?
- Live with an attitude of gratitude. What are you thankful for? How can you show that gratitude to those around you?
