National Grouch Day – October 15

Grouch DayJust stand up and complain“.  As Oscar the Grouch sings his National Anthem, we all can celebrate October 15 as being National Grouch Day.

This video is not to make you laugh or even smirk.  This is serious business.  All goody-two-shoes beware.  You are not welcome on this day!

October 15th is a day for all Grouches to celebrate their way of life. According to the Muppet Wiki, a Grouch’s mission in life is to be as miserable and grouchy as possible, and pass that feeling on to everyone else. Only then will a Grouch feel in touch with his or her world and be happy. Yet, even though a Grouch may show happiness at anyone’s misfortune (including his or her own), a Grouch would never admit to being happy.

So today, be miserable, complain over everything and enjoy nothing.  Tomorrow will not be better.  There is no silver lining and the glass is almost empty.
