Financial Stress And Turmoil

Is money and your finances keeping you awake at night? There has been a huge amount of turmoil in our markets and this has caused increase financial stress for many, especially those whose investments may be negatively impacted, those who may be close to retirement, and those whose job depends on a healthy economy.

During these uncertain economic times it is essential that we find positive ways to take care of ourselves even when financial stress is top of mind.

We cannot change or predict what will happen in the markets and what may or may not happen with the economy. What we can do is follow the S-O-S approach and ensure that we stay healthy throughout the uncertainty.

  1. Learn as much as you can about what is happening.
  2. Talk to those who know your investments and your financial situation. Find out what you do and do not have control over.
  3. Keep your financial stress in perspective – try not to get caught up in awfulizing
  4. Make sure that you are taking care of yourself – eat, sleep and exercise – take breaks – enjoy your hobbies – value your me time
